AT&T Leasing in Mexico

Telesites is currently ironing out a deal to lease towers to AT&T in Mexico. If completed, this deal would open up AT&T to the roughly 11,000 towers Telesites owns in the county.

AT&T leasing in Mexico increased in early 2015 and the company has been acquiring tower leases at a rapid pace.  Their goal is expand their network and building on their mobile internet offerings in the region. At&T has acquired Grup Iusacell SA and Nextel Mexico, making AT&T a regional force in Mexico. They have not discussed any financial targets publicly, but the expectation is to increase from $.7 billion to 1 billion by 2018 in Mexico. To date, AT&T has committed more than $50 billion south of the US border.
